Gives Anyone with a Cell Phone Instant Access to SHOPVOGUE.TV
Content
LOS ANGELES & NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--VOGUE magazine is teaming up with JuiceCaster, the award-winning
pioneer in mobile social networking, to deliver SHOPVOGUE.TV on-demand
mobile videos with JuiceCaster's Mobile Video Search (MVS) technology.
MVS is the industry's first search service for instantly accessing and
viewing video content on wireless devices.
Now, anyone with a video-capable cell phone can immediately access
SHOPVOGUE.TV's mobile video content by texting the keyword 'SVTV' to
'84462'. The MVS tool then sends a reply with a link to a library of
entertaining programs including '60 Seconds to Chic', 'Behind the
Lens' and 'Trend Watch'. Individuals can also comment on, rate and
share videos right from their mobile devices.
SHOPVOGUE.TV is a broadband entertainment network that allows
consumers to shop the advertising pages of VOGUE and watch original
video programming developed with the magazine's advertisers. Users are
able to browse and buy products featured in the advertising pages of
VOGUE and in episodes of original programming.
"VOGUE has long been the leader in bringing fashion to its
audiences in innovative ways, and its visionary approach now extends
to instant mobile video distribution using our Mobile Video Search
technology," said Nick Desai, CEO of Juice Wireless. "We look forward
to continuing our successful partnership with this true media industry
pioneer to expand the brand's reach and its content to mobile viewers
and JuiceCaster members worldwide."
MVS works on over 95% of video-capable phones, ranging from
high-end devices such as the iPhone, BlackBerry, Treo and Windows
Mobile devices to mass market phones such as the Motorola Razr family
of handsets.
MVS is an additional layer of access and value, available to
JuiceCaster's core mobile social network. JuiceCaster offers free and
paid versions of its award-winning service. In addition to enabling
users to communicate with each other effortlessly, regardless of their
location, it also forms a connector between mobile devices and social
networks, such as MySpace and Facebook. Immediately after a consumer
posts a video from a phone using JuiceCaster, viewers can see the
content and comments across multiple social networking sites, as well
as on mobile phones powered by any wireless operator.
JuiceCaster offers a free WAP version, which is available by
sending the word 'join' in an SMS to '84462'. In addition, the
subscription-based, downloadable BREW and JAVA versions of the
solution are available on select local and international wireless
operators.
