LEESBURG, Va., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Catcher Holdings, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: CTHH), (http://www.catcherinc.com), a leader in
ruggedized integrated mobile computing and Wi-Fi communication platforms today
announced that AW Networks, Inc. will deploy Catcher's Vivato(TM) wireless
base stations using a phased array antenna with patented Packet Steering
Technology(TM) in support of AW Network's scalable full duplex Ethernet
offerings in the San Francisco Bay Area and Las Vegas. Deliveries of at least
30 base stations will occur throughout the year as the networks are deployed.
Gary Haycox, chief executive officer, of Catcher Holdings, Inc.,
commented, "We are excited to have been selected by AW Networks as a partner
for supplying core technology into their network deployments. We are
beginning to see an increased interest in our extended range wireless
solutions into various outdoor environments, including these wireless
metropolitan area networks. Our unique technology allows wireless service
providers, such as AW Networks, Inc., to address a host of extended range
coverage and high capacity requirements at a fraction of the deployment and
operational costs of traditional mesh technologies."
Chief executive officer, Duane Butler, of AW Networks, Inc., added, "We
analyzed a variety of options to meet our networking needs and while we found
the extended range capabilities of this product to be especially robust, it
was the extremely high backplane capacity inherent to Catcher's technology
that was of vital importance to AW Networks. This gigabit backplane capacity
allows us to realize substantial deployment cost savings as a result of being
