Collaborationfor IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Notes, an integrated offering
from
Polycom enabling users of Lotus Sametime and Lotus Notes to instantly launch

familiar Click-to-Call and Click-to-Conference functions. Additional
enhancements
add native scheduling of rich-media conferences within Lotus Notes, as well as
SIP signaling support for Polycom HDX video endpoints, which enables users to
instantly launch HD video calls.

Polycom will demonstrate these enhancements, including a preview
technologydemonstration of video, voice and unified collaboration with Lotus
SametimeUnyte, in the Polycom booth at the Lotusphere 2008 conference taking
place Jan.
20-24 in Orlando, Fla.

"Workforces are increasingly mobile and geographically dispersed. Polycom
offers
the millions of Lotus Notes and Lotus Sametime users instant access to
industry-leading video and voice collaboration solutions within their existing,
familiar applications as part of a solution that also adapts to how and
where they work each day," said Joe Sigrist, senior vice president and general
manager of video solutions at Polycom. "Lotus users can experience the best
in high definition with Polycom HDX video endpoints, the only solutions equipped
with UltimateHD(TM) for HD video, HD voice and HD multimedia content-sharing
capabilities."

Polycom makes it easy for Lotus users to schedule, launch, and receive HD
video, voice and unified voice and video calls, empowering them to integrate
these tools into their existing workflows, making real-time collaboration with
colleagues easy and natural. This instant access to Polycom rich-media
collaboration tools enhances teamwork and accelerates enterprise decision making
among remote workers, customers, partners and suppliers. Capabilities include:

-- One-click access to HD video, voice, and unified conferences: With a
single click of a Click to Call or Click to Conference users can launch
high-quality video (including HD) and voice conferences either as an
escalation of an instant-messaging session within Lotus Sametime, or
instantly from an email, contact list or address in Lotus Notes. Polycom
will preview the demonstration highlighting how Lotus Sametime Unyte users
can launch video and voice conferences, and include a video or voice
conference as part of scheduled web conference.

-- Integrated conference scheduling in Lotus Notes: Users can also
schedule video and voice conferences natively within Lotus Notes, making
unified collaboration a seamless part of a user's normal workflow.

-- Flexible adaptation for how and where people work: Users also have
flexibility for how they join a call with a solution that adapts to how
they prefer to work in specific situations or locations on any given day.
Lotus Sametime users can associate different devices with their Lotus
Sametime profile (desktop phone, mobile phone, desktop video application,
conference room video conferencing system, phones and video systems in home
offices, satellite offices, etc.) and then simply choose which device they
want use (or how they want others to contact them) when joining a meeting.
People using different types of devices are joined seamlessly in a meeting
through the unified conferencing capabilities of the Polycom infrastructure
which also provide the optimum quality experience when both HD and
traditional video conferencing systems are on the same call. The solution
also works for non-Windows environments, enabling users to forward video
calls from the Lotus Sametime client to video endpoints or phones.

For IT administrators, the solution provides a single infrastructure
forrich media collaboration in a unified communications network that is easy to
remotely deploy and manage. The solution integrates within an IBM unified
communications platform and will work with existing installations of
standards-based
video conferencing equipment.

-- Seamless call routing for point-to-point and multipoint calls: The
solution includes the Polycom RAS(TM) 200I application server that features
API integration with the IBM Lotus Domino Server, providing seamless call
routing between the Lotus applications and Polycom desktop and conference
room video systems for point-to-point video calls, or the Polycom RMX
2000(TM) conferencing-optimized media server for multi-point voice, video
    or unified conferences.

-- Accelerated, flexible deployment: The server-level integration allows
for accelerated deployment because there are no changes required at the end-
user client level, and while optimized for Polycom video endpoints, it will
support any standards-based video conferencing system (including other HD
systems) and all phones through the Polycom RMX 2000 conferencing optimized
media server. The solution is available in configurations for video
conferencing, voice conferencing, and unified video and voice conferencing
that can join people on phones and video conferencing systems in the same
    meeting.

-- Integrated conference management platform: Native scheduling for Lotus
Notes is enabled through a plugin for the Polycom ReadiManager(R) SE200
scheduling and management platform, providing IT administrators with a
comprehensive appliance for effectively managing and maintaining their
    organization's video conferencing endpoints.

"The Polycom solution is very easy for customers to deploy, because
they do not need to change anything on the client. The solution interfaces
directlyto the Domino server making it easy to manage and use," said Jiri Linek,
CEO,
Gesto Communications, a communication solutions reseller in the Czech Republic.
"Polycom's integration with Lotus Sametime and Lotus Notes gives users easy
access to video communications that can help make them more productive and
effective in their jobs."
