PIPS to Provide BearCom with Rights to Sell its Complete Line of
Automated License Plate Recognition Equipment
DALLAS--(Business Wire)--BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications
equipment and solutions, announced today that it has signed an
agreement with PIPS Technology to provide BearCom the rights to sell
PIPS' complete line of automated license plate recognition (ALPR)
equipment for the public safety market. This new partnership will
align the world's leading ALPR provider with America's only nationwide
wireless dealer and integrator.

ALPR technology provides many benefits to the law enforcement
community, such as enabling a single officer to automatically read and
check thousands of license plates against numerous databases within a
standard patrol shift. Utilizing ALPR as a force multiplier results in
superior enforcement capabilities, improved resource utilization,
officer safety, and ultimately, reduced crime in the community. ALPR
from PIPS also promotes data sharing and interoperability by allowing
agencies to network their systems together, providing for a wide net
of surveillance, excellent data mining and crime analysis capabilities
across jurisdictions, and much more.

PIPS designs, manufactures, and supports its complete line of ALPR
products and services for use in law enforcement, parking, tolling,
and intelligent transportation systems. Today, PIPS' systems are
providing positive results for numerous applications across a wide
range of industries.

"BearCom's history of partnering with companies on the cutting
edge of technology is a strategic focus of which we are very proud. We
look forward to supporting PIPS' ALPR equipment in law enforcement
agencies as well as a number of other applications, all across the
nation," said John Watson, BearCom's Chairman.

Craig Cantrell, Vice President of PIPS Technology stated, "PIPS is
pleased to be working with BearCom in the deployment of our ALPR
products to the public safety market. With its expertise in wireless
communications solutions coupled with a nationwide footprint, BearCom
is well positioned to capitalize on the growing interest in ALPR
across the country. Working together, PIPS and BearCom will provide
our customers an unbeatable combination of superior technology,
comprehensive service, and local support."
