Alcosta Growth Report Ranked Number 8 Top Performing Investment Newsletter
(Out of 187) in 2007 by Hulbert Interactive
SAN RAMON, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Alcosta Capital Management,
Inc., publisher of the Alcosta Growth Report, today announced that its monthly
newsletter was ranked the Number 8 Top Performing Investment Newsletter of
2007 by Hulbert Interactive, the online database of the Hulbert Financial
Digest, a division of Dow Jones Marketwatch. Some 187 investment newsletters
were included in the survey by the leading investment newsletter tracking and
rating service.
The Alcosta Growth Report's portfolio of large-cap U.S.-listed growth
stocks posted performance gains of 29.5% for the year 2007, as reported by
Hulbert Interactive. The gains include commissions normally associated with
the management of an investment portfolio. Past performance is not necessarily
indicative of future results. The survey is available to subscribers at:

"We are very pleased to be in Hulbert's Top Ten, especially with a
portfolio of large-cap U.S.-listed growth stocks," said Erick Ormsby,
Alcosta's president and chief investment officer and a 17-year veteran of
managing investment portfolios. The two top performing newsletters, which
posted gains of 64.8% and 57.3%, emphasized more volatile investments in China
or emerging markets.
"We believe risk management is as important as stock selection," Ormsby
said. "Our investment style -- buying high quality U.S.-listed growth stocks
with market capitalizations above $2 billion, annual revenues of at least
$200 million, and above average liquidity levels -- offers a potential margin
of safety. Investing in companies with high return on equity adds further
downside protection."
Ormsby is convinced that large-cap U.S.-listed growth stocks provide
superior opportunities to grow assets on a risk-adjusted basis. "The
securities of America's most innovative and promising companies historically
have offered strong, consistent revenue and earnings growth and sound
financials and operations," Ormsby said. "That's why we concentrate our
analytical expertise in this dynamic investment sector. We believe that
innovation and progress in our economy will continue to be propelled by
America's great growth companies."
The Alcosta Growth Report is published by Alcosta Capital Management,
Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area investment advisor that recently completed its
fifth year as a manager of large-cap growth portfolios for individual and
institutional investors. Additional information on Alcosta's investment
