Microsoft-based Vonexus EIC IP Communications Suite by Interactive Intelligence Wins Product of the Year Award

INDIANAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ), a global provider of
unified business communications solutions, received INTERNET TELEPHONY
magazine's 2007 Product of the Year Award for the company's
Microsoft-based IP communications suite, Vonexus Enterprise
Interaction Center(TM) (Vonexus EIC) 3.0.

Interactive Intelligence was honored for its commitment to quality
and excellence, while addressing real marketplace needs, according to
Rich Tehrani, TMC president and editor-in-chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY
magazine.

"Vonexus EIC's open, all-software 'suite' approach to VoIP already
offers mid-size enterprises significant cost savings, increased
operational efficiencies, and long-term investment protection,"
Tehrani said. "With version 3.0's new security features, additional
functionality for mobile workers, simplified deployment, and even
broader integration with Microsoft components, Vonexus EIC continues
to be an industry-leading solution and a most deserving recipient of
our award."

Vonexus EIC was first released in 1997 as a Microsoft-based IP
communications suite ideal for mid-size enterprises, including those
with branch offices, and remote and mobile workers.

Vonexus EIC includes a number of productivity-enhancing
applications, including VoIP switching, automatic call distribution,
interactive voice response, auto-attendant, conferencing, fax
services, unified messaging, Web chat, speech-enabled unified
communications for mobile workers, and more. It also includes
pre-integrated plug-ins for Microsoft Dynamics CRM and GP, along with
support of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 and 6 in its new Interaction
Mobile Office(TM) application.

"We built Vonexus EIC in response to complaints from businesses
that their hardware-centric IP PBX's were too costly and complex to
maintain, and lacked necessary applications," said Joseph A. Staples,
senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Interactive
Intelligence. "We appreciate INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine's recognition
of our ability to effectively address these business issues, and we
hope it draws additional attention to the fact that there is a
cost-effective, application-rich alternative to the proprietary,
'multi-box' VoIP approach."

The Microsoft-based IP communications suite, Vonexus EIC, is sold
through the Interactive Intelligence global channel of more than 250
value-added resellers. For more information about Vonexus EIC, visit
