National Institutes of Health Selects Collexis to Develop Advanced Expert Profiling System to Accelerate Research and Collaboration Among Researchers

Company To Develop Virtual Knowledge Directory Enabling Vast
Network of more than 8,000 NIH Researchers to Connect Via a Web
Interface for Increased Productivity and Maximization of Public
                           Research Dollars
COLUMBIA, S.C.--(Business Wire)--Collexis Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB:CLXS), a developer of
high-definition search and discovery software, announced today that
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has selected the company to
develop an Advanced Expert Profiling System that will allow more than
8,000 NIH researchers to connect and share their expertise via a web
interface. The agreement represents an expansion of Collexis'
relationship with the NIH. Previously, the NIH signed an Enterprise
License Agreement with Collexis, under which more than $20 billion in
grant funding is analyzed using the company's software platform.

"Given its scale of operations as the largest single source of
funding globally for health sciences research, we believe the
selection of Collexis by the NIH will enhance the Company's profile
among research institutions and academic universities and drive
increased adoption of our software," said Bill Kirkland, CEO of
Collexis Holdings, Inc. "The NIH requires a sophisticated search
solution to manage the monumental amounts of research being undertaken
nationwide by its experts. Coalescing research findings so that
researchers and program staff can find the most qualified experts on
very specific subjects is vital for the NIH to get answers to
important questions, to increase productivity and to maximize the use
of public research dollars toward improving the health of all
Americans."

In a two-phase solution tailored specifically to the NIH
community's needs, Collexis will compile expert profiles that will
then be integrated with Medline(R), the National Library of Medicine's
bibliographic database which holds references for more than 16 million
journal publications in the life sciences. Collexis has designed a
virtual knowledge directory for the NIH based on its proprietary next
generation search technology. The customized directory will provide
researchers with immediate access to expert knowledge, objective
profiling of that knowledge, a quick and seamless means of locating
NIH experts most relevant to the issue at hand, and complete profiles
of those experts.

"We have been able to design and offer a progressive expert
profiling system tailored specifically for the NIH community's needs,
further leveraging NIH's existing license to the Collexis engine,"
said Kirkland. "This latest undertaking with NIH is especially
gratifying because the selection by such a prestigious organization
should significantly enhance our marketing efforts."

Collexis is fast becoming the invaluable knowledge discovery tool
chosen by the global life science and medical research communities,
including such research heavyweights as: the Mayo Clinic; Johns
Hopkins University; University of California, San Francisco;
University of South Carolina; Erasmus University Library;
Bristol-Myers Squibb; Lockheed Martin; the World Health Organization;
Wellcome Trust; the National Institutes of Health and the U.S.
Department of Defense.

   About Collexis Holdings, Inc.

Collexis Holdings, Inc., a leading developer of high definition
search and knowledge discovery software since 1999 and now the world's
first pre-populated professional social network for life science
researchers, www.biomedexperts.com , is headquartered in Columbia,
South Carolina (USA), with operations in Geldermalsen, The Netherlands
and Cologne, Germany. Collexis' proprietary technology builds
conceptual profiles of text, called Fingerprints, from documents,
Websites, emails and other digitized content and matches them with a
comprehensive list of pre-defined "fingerprinted" concepts to make
research results more relevant and efficient. This matching of
concepts eliminates the ambiguity and lack of priority associated with
word searches. The results are often described as "finding needles in
many haystacks." Through this novel approach, Collexis can build
unique applications to search, index and aggregate information as well
as prioritize, trend and predict data based on sources in multiple
industries without the limitations of language or dialect. For more
