Sports-themed Haircutter for Guys in Top 7 Percent of Franchises
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Sport Clips, the nation's
fastest-growing hair-care franchise tailored to men and boys, has opened its
500th location. According to the International Franchise Association
Educational Foundation's "Profile of Franchising 2006," only seven percent of
US franchises have more than 500 outlets. Now in 34 states, Sport Clips has
redefined the men's hair-care setting by offering its services in a
sports-themed setting and customizing its services to the male niche of the
overall $40 billion a year hair-care industry.

"We are always looking for ways to enhance the Sport Clips experience for
our clients, ensuring that men and boys have a unique hair-care experience in
a sports-themed environment that is clearly 'their kind of place' -- a
superior experience at a competitive price," says Gordon Logan, Sport Clips
founder and CEO. "This resonates with men and boys who don't look forward to
getting a haircut, but who can appreciate the 'Guys Win' atmosphere we have
created just for them at Sport Clips."
The 500th store is in San Diego, in Mission Valley, at Fenton Market
Place, Friars Road & Fenton Parkway, next to Costco and IKEA. Logan, Clete
Brewer, Sport Clips president; Ron Chamberlain, Sport Clips area developer;
and Susan Boresow, Sport Clips vice president of Marketing participated in an
event at the store held to benefit the local Boys' and Girls' Clubs.
Logan noted the company's franchise growth is a testament to the success
of its mission -- to create a championship haircut experience for men and boys
in an exciting sports environment. Sport Clips is listed among the top 100
franchises, as well as the top 50 fastest growing franchises. More than 100
new stores are added each year, and Logan says Sport Clips is rapidly
realizing its vision of being the dominant male hair-care provider in the USA.
