AmREIT Releases 2007 Dividend Tax Status

HOUSTON--(Business Wire)--AmREIT (AMEX: AMY), a Houston based real estate investment trust,
announced today that 47% of the dividends paid to its Class A common
shareholders in 2007 is classified for federal income tax purposes as
a nontaxable distribution. The balance of common stock dividends paid
is classified as either ordinary income, qualified or capital gains as
outlined below.
