Malcolm Bricks, P.E., Appointed Office Principal for Baker's Atlanta Office

ATLANTA, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an
engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (Amex: BKR), announced today
that Malcolm (Mal) Bricks, P.E., has been appointed office principal for the
Atlanta, Georgia, office, which was established in 2004. In this position,
Bricks will be responsible for operations management, office administration,
financial management, project oversight and business development for water
resources, water/wastewater, and transportation projects in Georgia and South
Carolina. He succeeds Jeff Gidley, who relocated to Baker's Virginia Beach
office.

proven track record of growing regional operations," said Fernando Pasquel,
vice president and East Region water resources manager. "His knowledge of the

Bricks is a professional engineer registered in nine states and has
lectured nationally for the American Public Works Association on various
infrastructure topics. Some of his accomplishments and contributions to the
profession include serving as Georgia State President of American Society of
Civil Engineers, Vice President of the Georgia Society of Professional
Engineers, and Chairman of the Metro Atlanta E-Week. He also served on active
duty for four years as a Naval Flight Officer. Bricks holds Bachelor's and
Master's Degrees in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University, as well as
an MBA and a Master's in Governmental Administration from Georgia State
University. He resides in Sandy Springs, Ga., with his wife, Holley, and has
two grown sons.
