WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- First Student school bus
drivers in Nashua, New Hampshire voted overwhelmingly to join the Teamsters,
adding another victory in the effort to organize private school bus drivers
nationwide.

The vote was 105-36 to join Teamsters Local 633, with 88 percent voter
turnout. Local 633 is part of Joint Council 10, which has helped organize 623
school bus workers in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine
since the First Student campaign began in 2006.

"This victory sets the pace for organizing in 2008," said David Laughton,
Secretary-Treasurer of Joint Council 10. "These courageous men and women
stayed strong showing true Teamster pride."

"The word is out, and the word is strong Teamster representation," Laughton
said during an impromptu cookout celebrating the victory.

Joint Council 10 organizer Roger Travers said organizers worked for three
months to secure the victory.

"The level of unity and determination that this group showed would not be shut
down. I am proud of what these workers have accomplished," Travers said.

Since 2006, more than 5,000 private school bus workers have joined the
Teamsters.

Founded in 1903, the Teamsters Union represents more than 1.4 million
hardworking men and women in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
