Pelosi Statement on the 35th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the
following statement today on the 35th anniversary of Roe V. Wade:
"Today we recognize the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade -- a cornerstone of
the women's reproductive rights.
"On this day in 1973, the Supreme Court recognized that a woman has the power
and fundamental right to choose what happens to her body and, by extension,
her future.
"I will continue to fight for the right to choose, for safe and quality
reproductive health care, comprehensive and medically sound reproductive
education, and access to contraception in the United States and abroad."
