Central Texas' New Creative Arts School Begins Classes in March 2008

    AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Education Management LLC (EDMC)
today announces the addition of The Art Institute of Austin to its Art
Institutes system of schools.

    With its first day of classes planned for March 31, 2008, The Art
Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston, will occupy
approximately 38,000 square feet at 100 Farmers Circle in Austin, Texas.  The
school will begin enrolling students immediately.

    Initially, The Art Institute of Austin will offer bachelor's degree
programs in Audio Production, Fashion and Retail Management, Graphic Design,
Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation, Photography, and Web Design &
Interactive Media; and associate's degree programs in Graphic Design and Web
Design & Interactive Media.

    There are two existing Art Institutes campuses in Texas, located in
Houston (The Art Institute of Houston) and Dallas (The Art Institute of
Dallas).  The Art Institute of Austin is a branch of the Houston school.

    Final approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is pending.
