Randall S. Brant Appointed Washington Times VP, Sales & Marketing

WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington Times today
announced the appointment of Randall S. Brant as vice president of sales and
marketing. He brings to the newspaper more than 25 years of advertising and
sales experience and a management background in strengthening sales operations
and increasing revenues in a variety of corporate and media organizations.

Washington Times," said Thomas P. McDevitt, president of The Washington Times.

Brant's most recent position was vice president/advertising with the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where he launched advertising initiatives that added
new revenues in print and online categories.  He also led the newspaper's
participation and sponsorship in the city's first-ever DiverseCity Pittsburgh
Festival.

Previously, he was senior vice president/advertising at the Detroit Free Press
and Detroit News, where he increased online, niche and community newspaper
revenue. He also served as senior vice president/advertising for the Salt Lake
Tribune and Deseret Morning News and was display advertising director for the
Dallas Morning News. He has also held senior management positions with
newspapers in Denver, Honolulu, Indianapolis and San Antonio.

Brant earned his BA in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania,
