WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today's USA Today features a
major story in the Life section on Reg Green, author of a moving new book
telling the stories of more than 40 organ donors and recipients. Green is the
father of Nicholas Green, who was a 7-year-old boy killed during a family
vacation in Italy in 1994. His organs were donated, saving the lives of seven
Italians and triggering worldwide awareness of the need for donors.

However, nearly 100,000 Americans are currently on the waiting list for organs
-- and approximately 18 of them die every day.

Green and a number of the individuals featured in the book -- "The Gift That
Heals" -- are willing to be interviewed.
