Saltus European Debt Strategies Limited - Transaction in Own Shares

Saltus European Debt Strategies Limited announces that on 21 January 2008 it
acquired 50,000 of its own ordinary shares of nil par value for cancellation.
The shares were acquired at an average price of 84.4 pence per share,
representing an 8.6% discount to the estimated net asset value per share at 31
December 2007.
