Alcatel shares fall on market talk of forecast cut

PARIS/LONDON Jan 22 (Reuters) - Shares in Franco-American telecoms equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent (ALUA.PA) fell 5.6 percent on Tuesday on market talk that the company was set to cut its forecasts.

Alcatel-Lucent declined to comment. At 1630 GMT, Alcatel-Lucent shares were down 5.6 percent at 4.02 euros making them the top losers on the French CAC 40 index, which was up 2.7 percent.
