China Bank of Nanjing says 2007 net up 50 pct

SHANGHAI Jan 22 (Reuters) - Bank of Nanjing (601009.SS), a Chinese regional bank, estimated on Tuesday that net profit rose at least 50 percent last year.

The bank made a profit of 594.63 million yuan ($82.1 million) in 2006.

Bank of Nanjing, which will release its full 2007 earnings report in coming weeks, said it enjoyed strong growth in all areas.

Listed Chinese companies are required to make preliminary estimates if they expect to report swings of over 50 percent. ($1 = 7.24 yuan) (Reporting by Andrew Torchia; Editing by David Holmes)
