Cypress Pharma settles Zantac patent dispute with Glaxo

Jan 25 (Reuters) - Privately held Cypress Pharmaceutical Inc said it settled a patent dispute with a unit of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L) (GSK.N), under which Glaxo will not assert its patent against Cypress' generic version of heartburn and indigestion drug, Zantac.

Cypress expects to launch the product as soon as it gets U.S. regulatory approval, it said in a statement. (Reporting by Varsha Tickoo in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
