Lisa Sherman Named Executive Vice President, General Manager, Logo

Promotion reflects Logo's business milestones, online leadership,
unprecedented advertising partnerships, doubled cable distribution and
production of historic presidential forum

    NEW YORK, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Logo (http://www.LOGOonline.com), a
division of Viacom Inc.'s (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) MTV Networks, today announced
that Lisa Sherman has been promoted to Executive Vice President, General
Manager, Logo. The announcement was made by Brian Graden, President, MTV
Networks Music Group Entertainment; and President, Logo.
    For more than two years as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Sherman
has been charged with launching Logo, running its day-to-day operations and
creating and implementing an aggressive business plan that has built the
first-ever ad-supported television and multi-platform entertainment brand for
the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) audience.
    Working closely with Graden, Sherman helped to develop Logo's slate of
original and acquired programming that speaks to the diverse experiences from
LGBT America, including The Big Gay Sketch Show

and Ohs, Rick & Steve, Noah's Arc and the upcoming Transamerican Love Story

    Sherman and her senior management team have achieved historic business and
cultural benchmarks for the newest and largest American LGBT media entity:
    -- Since launch, the number of Logo's cable and satellite homes more than
       doubled to 30 million homes, putting Logo in homes the top 25 markets
       as well as in places like Joplin, Missouri and Amarillo, Texas. In
       addition, Logo developed partnerships with the nation's leading digital
       distributors making Logo the first and only LGBT content provider on
       platforms like iTunes, Amazon Unbox, Xbox, Wal-Mart and the nation's
       top wireless providers.
    -- Logo has attracted more than 130 world-class advertising partners,
       two-thirds of whom had never before advertised in LGBT media. Unique
       campaigns created with clients like Stolichnaya, Levi's, Cadillac and
       Subaru attracted national media attention for their authentic and
       powerful use of gay imagery.
    -- Starting from scratch in late 2005, a strategy to create an online
       federation of LGBT entertainment, news and social networking web sites
       catapulted Logo to the top of the online segment for the first time in
       the second half of 2007.


    In addition, with her deep ties in the LGBT community, Sherman was
instrumental in launching and driving Logo's historic The Visible Vote 08: A
Presidential Forum (http://www.visiblevote08.com) during which six of the
leading Democratic presidential candidates addressed an LGBT television
audience for the first time in history. The forum was produced in partnership
with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, with whom Sherman has had a
longstanding relationship, including serving on numerous leadership boards and
committees.
    Sherman has a rich career in business and marketing. Before joining Logo,
she served as Senior Vice President and Group Account Director at the New York
office of Hill, Holliday Connors, Cosmopulos, part of the Interpublic Group of
Companies.
    Earlier in her career, Sherman served as an executive at Verizon
Communications, where she held a number of senior level marketing, advertising
and operating positions for 17 years. In addition, she co-founded the Women's
Sports Network, Inc., a marketing services company specializing in the
management and marketing of sports, entertainment and promotions for Fortune
100 companies.
    Sherman is a board member of the New York City-based organization God's
Love We Deliver, whose mission is to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in men,
women and children living with HIV/AIDS or other serious illnesses by
preparing and delivering meals to those unable to provide for themselves. She
is also a board member of LIFEbeat, which mobilizes the talents and resources
of the music industry to raise HIV/AIDS prevention awareness and to provide
support to people living with HIV/AIDS.
