Gina Gershon checks in to "Love Ranch"
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Gina Gershon is returning to her "Showgirls" stomping grounds in "Love Ranch," Taylor Hackford's drama of passion and betrayal at a Nevada brothel.
Gershon will play a veteran employee at the ranch.
Hackford's wife, Dame Helen Mirren, stars as the co-owner of the operation with Joe Pesci, her on-screen husband. They fall into a dangerous love triangle with a South American boxer (Sergio Peris-Mencheta).
Bryan Cranston ("Malcolm in the Middle") has also joined the cast, playing a state senator who becomes entangled in their sordid affairs. The ensemble cast also includes "Hustle & Flow" alumnae Taryn Manning and Elise Neal.
The indie project is now shooting on location in New Mexico and Nevada.
"Ranch" marks Gershon's return to the Nevada setting that gained her a cult following in the infamous 1995 movie "Showgirls." The actress can now be heard singing on her CD, "In Search of Cleo."
