McKesson wins $822 mln Pentagon contract for drugs

WASHINGTON Feb 25 (Reuters) - Pharmaceutical wholesaler McKesson Corp (MCK.N) has won a contract valued at up to $822 million for pharmaceutical supplies for the U.S. military's TRICARE mail order pharmacy, the Pentagon said on Monday.

It said the Pentagon's Defense Logistics Agency was exercising its option for a fifth year under an earlier contract with the San Francisco-based company.

McKesson will complete work on the contract by Feb. 28, 2009, it said. (Reporting by Andrea Shalal-Esa; Editing by Andre Grenon)
