VeraSun, Kroger to expand ethanol retail sales

NEW YORK Feb 26 (Reuters) - Ethanol maker VeraSun Energy Corp VSE.N and Kroger Co (KR.N) said on Tuesday they would open 20 "VE85" branded fuel locations at existing Kroger convenience stores in Texas.

The retail stores will sell VeraSun's E85 fuel, which is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline, around the Dallas and Houston metro areas. (Reporting by Matt Daily, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
