Innovative Workout Destination Now Available to More Area
                               Residents
BEVERLY, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
Local residents seeking to maximize their workouts and see rapid
results will benefit from the newest North Shore CrossFit location in
Beverly. The 8,500 square-foot CrossFit facility on Park Street will
open March 10. It is the second location for North Shore CrossFit,
which has its original facility in Topsfield.

The latest North Shore CrossFit facility devotes 3,000 square feet
to individual and group training areas and features seven lifting
platforms and 120 feet of pull up and monkey bars. Dave Picardy
founded North Shore CrossFit.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning system based on
fundamental movements performed at high intensity and variation. It
was created by Greg Glassman in Santa Cruz, CA, and quickly spread to
competitive athletes, special operations units, military and police
personnel and everyday fitness enthusiasts. In 2006, Picardy adopted
the CrossFit method of training and became the only CrossFit serving
the North Shore. Since that time, membership has mushroomed; North
Shore CrossFit offers more than 30 group classes and 50 private
training sessions per week.

   Improving individual performance

"CrossFit is not your average workout," says Picardy. "Its unique
focus on the ten recognized fitness domains and fundamental movements
improve physical performance on every level. Workouts are varied and
scalable to individual needs. No two workouts are the same, and the
results are rapid and dramatic."

Mother of three Kathy Sturm, of Beverly, finds the workouts at
North Shore CrossFit easier on her joints. "Other workouts are
mind-numbingly boring," she says. "But here, it is varied and results
are quick and noticeable -- and without injuries. I find it much
easier on the joints than any other program I've tried."

"Dave Picardy and his crew of trainers are truly exceptional,"
says Doug Chapman of HyperFit USA of Ann Arbor, MI, one of the largest
CrossFit affiliates. "There are few places in the country that compare
to North Shore CrossFit."

The new facility will offer group classes on three levels:
introductory and Level I and Level II CrossFit. Other programs include
kettlebell conditioning, basic gymnastics, and Olympic weightlifting.
It will also offer private training by CrossFit certified coaches.
