PIPER JAFFRAY LTD

The mid-market U.S. investment bank and unit of Piper Jaffray Cos (PJC.N) said it named Michael Covington the managing director, head of European clean technology and renewables investment banking.

Covington joins the company from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he was a director in the natural resources team.

AVIVA PLC (AV.L)

UK insurer has appointed Andrea Moneta as CEO, Aviva Europe. Moneta is currently managing director of Dubai Financial Group and will join Aviva on 1 July. [nL31513260]

FORTIS PRIME FUND SOLUTIONS

The financial services company named Edith Ngan the regional managing director of its Asia operations. Ngan joins Fortis PFS from the Principal Financial Group where she was COO, Greater China.
