Report Highlights Oracle's Strengths in OSS/BSS Software Including its
End-to-End Offering for the Communications Industry

    REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --

-- Oracle today announced that Stratecast, a division of Frost & Sullivan
focused on communications industry strategy, highlighted Oracle's
strengths in operations support systems (OSS) and business support
systems (BSS) in its recent report titled, "Communications Global
       Company-Level Assessment: Oracle."
-- Part of its OSS/BSS Global Competitive Strategies series, which
provides strategic assessments of OSS/BSS solution vendors, the report
notes that Oracle has a clear vision and understands its customers'
needs for a complete, end-to-end OSS/BSS and enterprise resource
       planning (ERP) platform.
-- Stratecast's report states that Oracle understands that communications
service providers (CSPs) need accelerated time-to-market for new
services and cost-sustainability. It notes that the "secret sauce" of
the company's product suite is in integration and infrastructure that
connect applications and deliver a common view of a CSP's customers and
       services.
-- Further, the report highlights Oracle's history in the communications
industry including the development of its OSS/BSS platform through
recent acquisitions -- Siebel Systems, Portal Software, MetaSolv
Software and Netsure -- noting that not only has Oracle grown with its
acquisitions, but it is also quickly integrating its new products into
       an end-to-end solution offering.
-- In addition, the report notes that Oracle's strategy to integrate its
ERP solution into the Oracle Communications suite provides several
advantages, including a reduced-risk value proposition due to the pre-
       integration of its applications.
-- Looking to the future, Stratecast's report notes that it expects Oracle
to continue to develop its end-to-end platform to meet customers'
       growing and changing needs.
