Greene King plc - Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, we would like to
notify the market of the capital of Greene King plc as at 31 March 2008.

Accordingly, Greene King plc's capital consists of 135,278,986 ordinary shares
with voting rights. Greene King plc holds 973,980 ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Greene King plc is 134,305,006.
