Family First Federal Credit Union Names Terry Thomas to Chairman of the Board

Members Also Reelect Three Members of the Board of Directors OREM, Utah--(Business Wire)-- Family First Federal Credit Union today announced that Terry D. Thomas has been elected by the board members to a one-year term to take the helm as chairman of the board. Thomas replaces Dale K. Poulson, who will now serve as vice chairman of the board. The credit union members also reelected three board members. The board of directors are responsible for the general policies of the credit union and charged with setting the credit union's overall mission, purpose, objectives and strategic plan. In addition to attending monthly board meetings, directors also serve on various committees for the credit union. "Terry and I have worked with each other for eight years as members of board of directors at the credit union," said Poulson. "I have seen first hand his knowledge of business and his passion for the members. I look forward to seeing the members benefit from Terry's increased involvement and I have full confidence that he will uphold the mission of the credit union by putting its members first." Thomas, who was the former vice chairman of the board, is looking forward to his new role and responsibilities. Thomas - Chairman Thomas has served on the board for eight years. He has been employed at EG&G Defense Materials as the engineering and information systems manager since 2001. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University and an MBA degree in 1993. Dale K. Poulson - Vice Chairman Poulson has served on the board for 19 years. He is currently director of transportation for Headwaters Resources, Inc. in South Jordan, Utah and owner of Countryside Cleaners in Highland, Utah. He earned his BS and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University. Lee Huish - Treasurer Huish has served on the board for 15 years. He has been senior financial analyst at Geneva Steel since 2001. He was formerly employed with U.S. Steel for 14 years in various accounting and financial positions. He graduated from Brigham Young University with BS degree. Michael J. Sperry - Secretary Sperry has served on the board for three years. He is the vice president of Juab Title & Abstract Company. The company was founded in 1901. Michael is the fourth generation of this family to work at the company. Curtis Marsh - Board Member Marsh has served on the board for three years. He is currently a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. He received a BA degree in Psychology and has been a member of the credit union since 1996. Andrew Williams - Board Member Williams has served on the board for three years. He currently works for Novell. He received a BS degree in Computer Information Systems from Southern Utah University. Perry Bronson - Board Member Bronson has served both on the board and supervisory committee for three years. He is a realtor at Century 21 All Pros Realty. He graduated with an AS degree from Utah Valley State College, and he is currently working towards a BS in business management with an emphasis in marketing.
