In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, Big
Yellow Group PLC would like to notify the market of the following:

Big Yellow's capital consists of 115,511,819 ordinary shares with voting rights.

The company holds 100,000 ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Big Yellow Group PLC is
115,411,819.

The above figure (115,411,819) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Big Yellow Group PLC under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
