Regulatory Announcement (via RNS)
Company: Blue Star Maritime S.A.
Official List Notice
This announcement replaces that released at 12.17 on 31st March
Blue Star Maritime S.A.
Notice regarding the application for cancellation of listing on the Official
List and cancellation of admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
1. Cancellation of listing on the Official List.
Blue Star Maritime S.A. has applied to have its GDRs delisted form the Official
List of the UK Listing Authority and to have the admission to trading on the
London Stock Exchange International Order Book for listed securities cancelled.
2. Reasons for delisting
Blue Star Maritime S.A. has decided to request a delisting from the Official
List and the cancellation of the admission to trading of its securities on the
London Stock Exchange because (i) there is no trading in the GDRs for more than
one year and there is a limited number of outstanding GDRs and (ii) Blue Star
Maritime S.A. has decided to terminate the GDR program. Blue Star Maritime S.A.
believes that delisting its securities from the Official List and canceling the
admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange market for listed securities
will not adversely affect its shareholders and investors, because the shares
will continue to be listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.
3. Date of cancellation
It is anticipated that the cancellation of the listing and admission to trading
will take effect from 30th April 2008, being over 20 business days following the
date of this announcement.
