Caledonia Investments plc - Transactions in Own Shares

Caledonia Investments plc (the "Company") announces that it has today given an
irrevocable instruction to JPMorgan Cazenove to purchase its ordinary shares
under the authority to purchase shares approved by shareholders on 19 July 2007.
Any shares purchased will be held in treasury.

The instruction is valid from 1 April 2008 until 28 May 2008, being the close
period prior to the announcement of the Company's full year results for the year
ending 31 March 2008 on 29 May 2008.

Any purchases will be effected within certain pre-set parameters and in
accordance with both the Company's general authority to purchase its shares and
Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules and any trading decisions made by JPMorgan
Cazenove independently of, and uninfluenced by, the Company.

The Company confirms that it currently has no Company unpublished price
sensitive information.
