'One Book, Every Young Child' Early Reading Program to Begin Third Year

Education Secretary Gerald L. Zahorchak will help launch the third year of the
"One Book, Every Young Child" program at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 in the
Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg.

More than a half million Pennsylvania children are reached annually through
the program, which stresses the importance of reading early and often to young
children. The event will unveil the 2008 book selection, Up, Down, and Around.
The book's author, Katherine Ayers, will attend.
