NJTC to Name CIOs of the Year - April 18

    PRINCETON, N.J., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- If you've ever searched for a
job on the Internet, or posted one for hire, you've no doubt visited Jeff
Taylor's first baby, Monster.com.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear from one of the Internet's most
fascinating visionaries in what promises to be a "wow" keynote presentation by
Taylor. The NJTC CIO Conference is set for April 18 at the Hyatt Regency
Princeton. To register for the 2008 NJTC CIO Conference, visit www.njtc.org.
In addition, the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) will honor the very
best CIOs in the region by naming the "CIOs of the Year."
-- The Public/Private Company CIO of the Year finalists are Manoj
Chouthai, PSEG; Mark Ivie, Medquist; and Peter Harvey, CUH2A, Inc.
-- The Non-Profit CIO of the Year finalists are: Barbara Macecsko,
Liberty Science Center; David Ullman, NJIT; and Robert Zangara, NJ
       State Library.

The popular job website Monster.com is inarguably the hottest career site
on the 'net. Now Taylor is preparing for the days when "work" is no longer his
top priority. In fact, he's thinking about what you'll be doing in retirement,
as well.
Taylor raised $10 million in venture capital for a new project called
eons.com. Designed to cater to the millions of Americans aged 50 or older,
eons.com challenges boomers and seniors to live the biggest life possible.
Taylor will share his stories of entrepreneurism and innovation at the NJTC
2008 CIO Conference when he delivers the keynote speech.
Recognized as an innovator and visionary in both the Internet and career
industries, Taylor has reinvented the way job hunters seek employment. His
"monster idea," conceived at the dawn of the World Wide Web, quickly became
one of the first dot-com companies (454th registered domain on the web) and
has since become the world's leading online career site. Today, the Monster
global network consists of 22 local content and language sites in 20 countries
and serves 20 million unique visitors monthly.
In addition, two exciting panel discussions are planned. "Re-Focusing the
IT Staff on Innovation." Moderator of the panel will be Pavan Kumar Maddali,
CTO, Satyam Computer Services. Panelists will be: Suresh Kumar, managing
director and CIO, Pershing LLC; John Repko, CIO, Covance; Brett Singer,
executive director, IT Solutions, Tekmark Global Solutions LLC; and Ramesh
Srinivansan, executive vice president, Bally Systems Division, Bally
Technologies, Inc.
"IT: Creeping Into the Bureaucracy" will be moderated by Rick Carney,
general manager of Mellilo Consulting's Management Consulting Group. Panelists
will be Fran Daly, vice president of Global IM Business Relationship, Revlon;
Peter Harvey, CIO, CUH2A; Lance Palatini, vice president and CIO, Transistor
Devices Inc.; and Brian J. Oppici, first vice president, Global Post-Trade
Processing Technology, Merrill Lynch.
Join the NJTC and your colleagues for an event planned for the people who
are at the heart and soul of every technology company ... the people who keep
the servers networked, the mouses clicking, the printers printing and so much
more -- chief information officers.
The New Jersey Technology Council provides business support, networking
opportunities, information, advocacy and recognition of technology companies
and their leaders. Founded in 1996, NJTC's more than 1,200 member companies
work together to support their own enterprises while advancing New Jersey's
status as a leading technology center in the United States. Visit www.njtc.org
