Chesapeake Corporation Releases 2007 Annual Report

RICHMOND, Va., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Chesapeake Corporation
(NYSE: CSK) today announced that its 2007 annual report to shareholders is now
available on the company's website at www.chesapeakecorp.com in the investor
relations section.
The annual report reviews Chesapeake's 2007 performance and features
several innovative new products. The theme of the report, "We Protect and
Promote the World's Great Brands," is highlighted on the cover along with
images of employees from three Chesapeake operations in the U.K.
"2007 was a challenging year for Chesapeake, but it was also a year when
much was accomplished," Andrew J. Kohut, Chesapeake's president & chief
executive officer, wrote in his letter to shareholders in the 2007 annual
report. "We have recently secured significant business with Cadbury
Schweppes, GSK, AstraZeneca, Schering-Plough, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Syngenta,
Nestle and United Biscuits. These customer names are powerful evidence that
we are making good on our commitment 'to protect and promote the world's great
brands.'"
The company's Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 30, 2007 is
included within the annual report. Chesapeake has mailed its 2007 annual
report and proxy statement to its shareholders in preparation of its annual
meeting to be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the SunTrust
Bank, Piedmont Room, 4th Floor, 919 East Main Street, Richmond, Va.
