MONT-ST-HILAIRE, QUEBEC, CANADA, Mar 31 (MARKET WIRE)
--
Mr. Renaud Hinse, president and C.E.O. of Abcourt Mines Inc. (TSX
VENTURE: ABI), is pleased to report good copper-zinc values in two
additional holes recently completed by Abcourt on Aldermac property. Both
holes were drilled on a north-south section, 213 meters east of the shaft.

Hole AL08-17 is an in-fill hole between holes 88-15 and 88-16, 55 meters
apart. Hole AL08-17 intersected two bands of massive sulphides as
follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
From (m) To (m) Length (m) Cu % Zn % Ag g/t Au g/t
-----------------------------------------------------------------
 254.63 259.00 4.37 0.54 8.99 22.76 0.025
 265.50 272.08 6.58 0.90 18.94 34.06 0.044
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This hole has moderately increased the resource tonnage, but the zinc
grade is considerably higher than usual.

Hole AL08-18 was drilled to confirm the values obtained previously in
hole 88-16. For comparison purposes, results of both holes are given
below:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
From (m) To (m) Length (m) Cu % Zn % Ag g/t Au g/t
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hole AL08-18
 255.26 264.09 8.83 0.49 7.20 22.66 0.126
 273.60 274.90 1.30 6.65 0.09 59.00 0.439
 294.35 296.03 1.80 3.52 0.04 41.20 0.168
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hole 88-16
 271.92 278.66 6.74 0.68 5.96 22.94 0.104
 285.92 287.23 1.31 1.29 2.54 40.14 0.086
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The first intersection in hole AL08-18 is slightly longer and slightly
better in zinc grade than the first intersection in hole 88-16. It is
worth nothing also that hole AL08-18 intersected two additional bands of
mineralization with high copper values.

As the mineralized zones are almost flat in that area, the true width is
about the same as the core length.

The assays for holes AL08-17 and AL08-18 were done at Techni-Lab S.G.B.
inc., a qualified laboratory.

Abcourt Mines Inc. is an exploration and development company with
strategically located properties in Northwestern Quebec, Canada. The
