                              Total Voting Rights



Brewin Dolphin Holdings PLC today announces that in conformity with the
Transparency Directive, Brewin Dolphin's capital as at 31 March 2008 consists of
210,402,528 ordinary shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") with voting rights.
No Ordinary Shares are held in treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting
rights in Brewin Dolphin is 210,402,528.


The above figure of 210,402,528 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders as
the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Brewin
Dolphin under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
