Acton School of Business Recognized in Entrepreneur for Lofty Ranking in The Princeton Review

AUSTIN, Texas--(Business Wire)--
The Acton School of Business' MBA in Entrepreneurship program has
earned high praise from one of the country's leading authorities on
MBA programs -- The Princeton Review -- in an article that appeared
this month in Entrepreneur magazine.

Acton (www.actonmba.org) was honored in multiple categories.

First, Acton was ranked fifth nationally for having the Best
Professors, validating the school's unique approach of bringing in
real entrepreneurs to teach classes and grading them annually to
determine whether they are maintaining Acton's high standards.

"Our teachers are one of the biggest reasons we have been able to
maintain a national reputation for excellence," said Acton's Executive
Director, Georgia Spaeth. "We have selected these teachers from a
vibrant entrepreneurial community in Austin. Once in the program, they
must uphold that standard of excellence or risk being replaced by
other seasoned entrepreneurs, who would seize the opportunity to teach
at Acton."

Acton was also ranked as one of the top ten "Best Classroom
Experiences" in America.

Spaeth said the school has been praised before for its classroom
experience, primarily because of its heavy emphasis on class
participation, which makes up more than 50 percent of each student's
grade, and the use of the case method in the classroom.

"Acton requires students to stand in the shoes of the entrepreneur
and make tough decisions in over 300 real-life business case studies,"
said Spaeth. "We use innovative, hands-on training scenarios, such as
building real assembly lines and selling actual products door-to-door;
projects that all students must complete in order to graduate."

The Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship is offered through Hardin
Simmons University.
