(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 7 a.m. EDT on Tuesday.

* SHIRQAT - Gunmen killed six members of a U.S.-backed neighborhood police patrol at a checkpoint in Shirqat, 300 km (190 miles) north of Baghdad, police said. A suicide car bomber killed one patrol member in an attack on another checkpoint.

* MAHAWEEL - Police killed one gunman in clashes on Monday in Mahaweel, 75 km (45 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Two bodies were found on Monday in different districts in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen killed a man in a drive-by shooting on Monday in eastern Mosul, police said.

MOSUL - One mortar bomb landed in eastern Mosul on Monday, killing one person, police said.

BAGHDAD - Three bodies were found dumped in different districts across Baghdad on Monday, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded four people, including two policemen, in Karrada district in central Baghdad, police said.
