Nissan says U.S. sales up adj. 3.6 pct in March

DETROIT (Reuters) - Nissan Motor Co (7201.T) on Tuesday reported a 3.6 percent increase in March U.S. auto sales after adjusting for two fewer selling days in the month compared with the same month a year earlier.
Nissan said its Nissan-brand sales were up 3.1 percent in March on that same adjusted basis. Sales for its luxury Infiniti brand were up 7.3 percent, the automaker said.
March had 26 selling days compared with 28 days a year earlier. On an unadjusted basis, Nissan's U.S. sales for both of its brands were down 3.7 percent at 106,921 vehicles.
