Bombardier looks to expand China plane, train role

MONTREAL, April 3 (Reuters) - Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO) said on Thursday it expects to expand its role in China's plane and train markets through joint ventures and other arrangements with Chinese companies.

Bombardier, which will have about 4,000 employees in China this year, expects to expand its partnership with state-owned China Aviation Industry Corp I and is considering a joint venture in rail systems signaling in the country, company executives told analysts during a conference call.
