Owens-Illinois supports Sam Adams bottle recall

BOSTON, April 8 (Reuters) - Packaging maker Owens-Illinois Inc (OI.N) said on Tuesday it supported Boston Beer Co's (SAM.N) decision to recall some of its Samuel Adams beer after discovering that some bottles may contain small grains or bits of glass.

Owens-Illinois said it made the bottles in question, but that its investigation so far has shown that they were made to its normal specifications. (Reporting by Scott Malone, editing by Mark Porter)
