NAIROBI (Reuters) - Protests spread to Kenya's western opposition stronghold of Kisumu on Tuesday after the opposition suspended power-sharing talks with President Mwai Kibaki's party.

"They've started burning tires on the road and saying 'No cabinet, no peace'," said one witness by telephone. "The police has increased its presence here," he added.
