Showbix people briefs: De Niro, Ackles

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Robert De Niro has parted ways with Creative Artists Agency, his longtime talent firm.

In the midst of what has become a season of revolving doors at Hollywood's major talent agencies, it was not immediately clear where the actor was headed. Although speculation focused on Endeavor, by Wednesday night, that agency could not confirm that De Niro had become a client.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jensen Ackles is in final negotiations to star in a 3-D remake of the 1981 slasher film "My Bloody Valentine," which is set to begin production in May.

"My Bloody Valentine 3-D" will be directed for Lionsgate by Patrick Lussier. A January 2009 release is scheduled.

Ackles (the CW's "Supernatural") will play Tom, a handsome, principled man who returns to his home in Harmony, Mo., 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. Back in Montana, Tom finds he still is smitten with his first love, Sarah (Jaime King), and is now a murder suspect.
