GlobalOptions Group's Bode Technology to Provide DNA Identification Services to Authorities in Peru

NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI), a leading provider of
domestic and international risk management services, today announced
that its Bode Technology unit has entered into formal agreement to
provide DNA identification services to authorities in Peru to assist
in the identification of victims of conflicts that occurred over the
past few decades.

Bode Technology has been selected to assist Peruvian authorities
in the identification of Peruvians who went missing during civil
conflict between government and rebel forces in the 1980s and 1990s.
It is estimated that tens of thousands of Peruvians remain missing and
the use of DNA testing will be critical in assisting in the
identification process.

Bone samples from the victims and reference samples from family
members will be sent to Bode for DNA testing. Profiles obtained from
the victim and family reference samples will then be entered into
separate DNA databases at Bode. The two databases will then be
compared with each other to determine if familial relationships exist
between a bone sample and the family reference sample/s. The finding
of such a relationship is a strong indication of relatedness. If such
a relationship is found, Bode will produce a DNA report that will be
submitted to Peruvian authorities.

"DNA is an invaluable tool in identifying victims of wars and
conflicts both present and past," said Howard Safir, CEO of Bode
Technology, which is a part of GlobalOptions Group. "This project will
help families and loved ones address the painful and personal effects
of war and the loss of loved ones."

Bode was one of four organizations that provided testimony before
the Congressional Human Rights Caucus in September of 2005 detailing
the need for identification of the missing in several Latin American
countries, including Peru. Congress approved funding for the Latin
American Identification Initiative in November of 2005.
