Introducing Olivia Fling(TM) Long-Weekend Event Packages for the Vibrant, Young and Out Lesbian
Olivia Flings Starts Flirting With Seattle, Palm Springs and Las
Vegas
SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--
Leading lesbian travel and entertainment company Olivia is
enhancing its service offerings with the summer debut of
extended-weekend "Olivia Flings." The new series of three- and
four-night travel and entertainment vacation packages will launch over
Labor Day weekend in Seattle, before hosting other events in Las Vegas
and Palm Springs, Calif.
"The new Olivia Fling series provides travel options for young,
out lesbians who may not have the time or finances to take a
traditional cruise or a weeklong international excursion," said Olivia
General Manager Lisa Henderson. "It also offers first-time customers a
peek at the Olivia experience."
Olivia Fling-Seattle will debut Aug. 28-Sept. 1, offering "velvet
rope" access to a WNBA Seattle Storm game, featuring new and out
forward, Sheryl Swoopes, taking on her former Houston Comets
teammates. At Hotel Max in the heart of downtown Seattle, the weekend
event includes VIP access to the Girls Rock! Party with entertainment
provided by Olivia, which will be presenting Leisha Hailey and Uh Huh
Her. Additionally, Olivia travelers can participate in a number of
widely attended lesbian events that weekend in Seattle, including
Festival of the Babes Soccer Tournament, Bumpershoot Music Festival
and the Gay Softball World Series.
"Our model is to work in partnership with local event producers to
create customized programming infused with the powerful entertainment
Olivia can deliver. It is a win-win model for everyone involved,
especially our customers," said Henderson. "We're expanding our
destination portfolio to give all our travelers more options in the
trips they can book with us. The Flings provide the same premier
entertainment experiences Olivia customers have come to expect, and
the shorter trips inherently increase our appeal to the under-35
demographic and first-time travelers."
Details will be announced later this year for Olivia Fling-Las
Vegas set for the fall. Olivia Fling-Palm Springs is already taking
bookings for Dinah Shore Weekend in April 2009, including a stay at
the Miramonte Resort & Spa and a meet-and-greet with entertainers at
the annual weekend festivities. Fling Palm Springs is expected to draw
a dynamic and diverse group of women, from golfers to socialites.
Packages include special entertainment offerings, access to exclusive
parties and hotel blocks or boutique hotel buy-outs. Most Olivia Fling
weekends start at $899.
The company will continue its traditional cruises and popular land
excursions, including upcoming weeklong escapes to Provence, France,
Tahiti and the Galapagos, as it maintains offerings for its valued
core customers in addition to the new "fling" crowd.
"Our community is diverse, and Olivia Flings are an example of our
travel and entertainment packages appealing to a broad spectrum of
women," said Henderson.
