ATLANTA, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Nationally acclaimed speaker and
inspirational speaker Dr. Ellie Drake kicks off her "Inspired You Inc. 2008
National Tour" with the first stop in New Orleans to assist victims of
Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Drake attracted substantial media attention when she
raised more than $100,000 in less than 24 hours to help repair the homes of 10
New Orleans families when she was inspired by Oprah Winfrey's "The Big Give"
program.
Dr. Drake works to inspire audiences as she talks about her American Dream
that brought her to this country from Iran. When she arrived in the U.S., she
spoke very little English and had very little money. Now, she inspires
thousands of people who want to "Thrive and Keep Their American Dream Alive."
Two specially designed tour buses will leave with a team of volunteers this
week to work in New Orleans and present St. Bernard Project with a check for
$100,000 to assist them with their project. Dr. Drake has partnered with the
Boys and Girls Clubs of America, which have helped children in various
communities for many years. As a result of this partnership, money will be
raised through cMarket, a charity online auction site. 100 percent of the
proceeds raised on this site, after the payment of cMarket's fee, will go to
charitable groups including the local Boys and Girls Club and BraveHeart Kidz
Foundation.
The site of the caravan accompanying Ellie Drake is literally stopping
traffic across the country.
Dr. Drake will inspire young people and adults both in person and online
about how to live a more prosperous and purposeful life. She is also reaching
out to each community to help raise money for important causes. Dr. Drake's
communities include one specifically for women called BraveHeart Women Global
Community and the BraveHeart Network, which has more than 100,000 subscribers.
Drake will also offer paid seminars with her husband, Dr. Charlie Drake to
inspire entrepreneurs and people who want to live the American Dream. 60
percent of the ticket's price will go to the BraveHeart Kidz Foundation.
Ellie's journey can be seen on a daily webcast on www.elliedrake.tv.
After the New Orleans visit, the national tour will make stops in Dallas,
Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, New York and New Jersey before
ending in Atlanta.
