PA DCED Hosting Korean Business Delegation to Increase Export Opportunities
for PA Firms

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- To increase opportunities
for Pennsylvania businesses, the Department of Community and Economic
Development will host a delegation of Korean buyers for "matchmaking" meetings
with Pennsylvania manufacturers, suppliers and exporters on Monday, April 14,
in Philadelphia.

The Korean Importers Association is interested in meeting with companies
representing a wide range of business opportunities, including metals,
chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, electronics and advanced materials.

"Governor Rendell has made it clear that one of his top priorities is to
expand Pennsylvania's presence in the global marketplace," said DCED Secretary
Dennis Yablonsky. "We've been working that equation from both ends, attracting
direct foreign investment into Pennsylvania and helping Pennsylvania companies
do business overseas. Thanks to the Governor's World Trade PA initiative, the
commonwealth now has one of the strongest and most aggressive international
business development programs in the nation."

Pennsylvania exports increased 10.6 percent to $29.1 billion from 2006 to
2007. Pennsylvania's lead export sectors include chemicals, machinery, primary
metal manufacturing, transportation equipment, and computer and electronic
products.

Monday's meeting is in the Lincoln Room of the Union League of Philadelphia
from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information on the agenda is at
