CARLSBAD, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) announces the
first-ever Spanish version of the Institute's famous Four Cs brochure.

The Four Cs brochure is designed to educate people about the main
elements of diamond qualities of Color, Cut, Clarity and Carat Weight.
In addition to underscoring the beauty and rarity of diamonds, this
full-color piece has photographs and illustrations that show the GIA
Color and Clarity scales and the GIA Cut scale for round brilliant
diamonds.

"Because GIA's mission is to educate the public worldwide, we
recognize the importance of communicating through various languages,"
said Donna Baker, president of GIA. "We appreciate the diversity of
our growing international audience and are proud to offer a Spanish
version of the Four Cs brochure - the first of many different language
versions we will make available."

The U.S. Census Bureau recently released a study that declared the
Hispanic community is the largest minority in the U.S. with a
population of 44 million in 2006, as well as the single fastest
growing minority group in the United States.

GIA is making the Spanish Four Cs brochure available as a
downloadable PDF (Printable Document Format) on its Web site. Jewelers
who desire multiple copies for distribution within their stores may
order 100 brochures free-of-charge. There is only one free-of-charge
order per language per shipping address and partial orders are not
available. Additional orders of 100 brochures are $12.50 per order,
