FAIRFIELD, NJ, Apr 10 (MARKET WIRE) --
Viyya Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VYON), the developer and marketer of the
world's most advanced, web-based information management application, announced
today that it received considerable interest from carriers and content portal
companies at the Cellular Telephone Industry Association's (CTIA) annual
meeting in Las Vegas last week. VIYYA 2.0 is the industry's first service
platformdedicated exclusively to the customization and personalization of end
user
content.
Led by Viyya CEO John Bay, the company's management team discussed and
demonstrated VIYYA to the nation's largest wireless carriers, wireless device
and
operating system manufacturers, and wireless content portals.
"We are at various stages in the sales cycle with these organizations and we
were especially pleased with the reception we received on our completed product
offering," said Bay. "We continue to receive accolades on the content
aggregation functionality of VIYYA as not just another method of grouping
'browser favorites' but as a true automated tool to deliver relevant information
for the user. You restrict irrelevant information on your email inbox with a
spam filter, why read irrelevant information through your web browser?"
Discussions and demonstrations were held with Microsoft ("MSFT"), Yahoo
("YHOO"), AT&T ("T"), NTT Do Co Mo, Rogers Wireless, Samsung, Kyocera, LG
Electronics, Research in Motion ("RIMM"), and Telcordia. Viyya's sales teams
are now engaged in discussions with these companies to function as potential
resellers and/or to use VIYYA in a licensing arrangement. There were many
other opportunities that surfaced and the company will report on any formal
relationships as they are secured.
Viyya management indicated that the aforementioned companies that had the
opportunity to see VIYYA in action during the show all expressed that
basedon the variety of formats in use over the Internet and with mobility
becoming such
a driving force for users, the Viyya application simplified the content for the
viewer and opened up a host of revenue-producing opportunities for carriers and
other
content portal providers. They professed that Viyya appears to stand alone in
its ability to deliver custom content in a variety of formats to Internet users
at home, in the office, or on the go. They saw VIYYA's display capabilities
becomingespecially useful when viewing information on a wireless device where
smaller
screen sizes and ads play a role in the amount of information users can view on
a single device screen, confirming that it's core proprietary technology makes
it
unique in the manner it extracts, displays and stores personalized digital
information.
