LKCM Radio Group Selects Internap's Ad Delivery Service and Content Delivery Network (CDN) to Monetize its Online Presence and Expand its Audience Reach
-- Internap's Online Streaming and Ad Delivery Technology Helps
Radio Group Extend Brand and Generate Additional Revenue by Streaming
Content on the Web --
ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ:INAP), a global
provider of end-to-end Internet business solutions, announced today
that LKCM Radio Group, the parent company of multiple Texas-based
country music stations, has selected Internap's ad delivery service
and content delivery network (CDN) to reach a larger audience and
increase revenue from its online presence through sponsorship and
advertising.
LKCM Radio Group owns nine Texas and Oklahoma-based radio
stations, including country station 95.9 The Ranch and classic country
station 92.1, and has been streaming radio online for approximately
five years. It recently adopted robust Internet business solutions
from Internap, including ad delivery technology and a custom media
player, to increase its listenership and effectively monetize its Web
presence.
"We selected Internap as our online services provider to help us
stay ahead of the competition," said Andy Meadows, operations director
at LKCM Radio Group. "Our Web presence plays a huge role in our
success, and Internap has helped us transform our sites into an
effective extension of our popular broadcast programming, which our
audiences continue to enjoy. Through working with Internap, we are
able to target markets we couldn't reach before, boosting our business
and expanding our audience."
Internap's CDN, backed by its 100 percent Service Level Agreement
(SLA) guarantee, enables LKCM Radio Group to reliably stream its
programming online, reaching listeners that were previously outside of
the company's designated market area (DMA). Internap's professional
services team made it possible for LKCM to effectively extend its
brand by developing personalized audio players to fit the stations
brand image.
Internap has considerable expertise and powerful network solutions
for the broadcasting market. These solutions help radio stations
generate revenue from their online broadcasting in order to subsidize
the cost associated with having a Web presence. The company's
technology offers real-time tracking and user-targeting, promising
advertisers maximum ROI by providing comprehensive reporting data,
including audience metrics.
"By expanding its broadcast to the Web, LKCM is in a position to
remain one of the most popular radio groups in its area," said Tim
Sullivan, chief technology officer at Internap. "Internap provides the
highest quality broadcast streaming and maximum control over
advertising content and inventory. The result is radio broadcasters
maximize their ROI and expand their audience by reaching new markets."
